Bloubergstrand is a town in the west coast region of the Western Cape in South Africa. Citrusdal is surrounded by mountains covered in fynbos and is the center of this region´s agricultural and economic activities. Citrusdal is situated north of Cape Town along the N7. It is an easy two-hour drive from Cape Town and offers the tourist a wide variety of sights to see and recreational activities.

Citrusdal is situated between the Cedarberg, Koue Bokkeveld and the Swartberg Mountains. Citrusdal is surrounded by numerous orchards of citrus fruits. The superior citrus products and Golden Valley wines, made from grapes grown in the valley and on surrounding farms, has contributed to make Citrusdal world renowned. The area produces about 100.000 tons of citrus annually, almost entirely for export.

Citrusdal has a small museum, which mainly focuses on the history of the town, the first pioneers and the local Khoisan. Next to the museum stands the historical Sandveldhuisie which houses a coffeeshop and an arts & crafts centre.
