About Private Sale - Private sale and rentals of property in South Africa
South African estate agents charge amongst the highest commissions around the world. In the United States and United Kingdom commissions are usually less than 2%. We don't believe that the commissions that most South African estate agents charge are justifiable. It is based upon this belief that we founded Private Sale.
Private Sale offers private sellers the opportunity to sell their property in South Africa privately and save themselves a significant amount of commission.

We offer a completely free of charge sale facilitation service to all our Private Sale sellers. This service comprises of assistance with any offer to purchase documentation, bond application, bond registration and property transfer. This process is done in conjunction with registered conveyancing attorneys.

- August 2003 - The business is conceptualised and the company formed
- April 2004 - The NoAgent.co.za domain is established
- Aug 2004 - The NoAgent.co.za website goes “live”
- Aug 2004 - The first property is listed on NoAgent.co.za
- Aug 2004 - The first property is sold, saving the seller R63 750 in commission
- Sept 2004 - NoAgent.co.za enters into an agreement for properties to be listed on sundaytimes & ananzi and other websites
- Jan 2005 - R&D starts on new more sophisticated website
- Feb 2006 - The new NoAgent.co.za website with numerous new functionality goes “live”
- May 2006 - The 1 000th subscriber registers as a buyer on the new website
- Oct 2006 - NoAgent.co.za website receives more than 500 000 hits for the 1st time
- Feb 2007 - NoAgent.co.za purchases the business of privatesale.co.za
- March 2007 - The 10 000th subscriber registers as a buyer
- July 2007 - The 15 000th subscriber registers as a buyer
- August 2007 - The new corporate identity of NoAgent.co.za is launched
- December 2007 - The 20 000th subscriber registers as a buyer
- June 2008 - The 25 000th person registers as a member
- July 2008 - NWSE Property Group purchases No Agent
- July 2008 - No Agent is to be re branded as Private Sale in line with NWSE Property Group's vision to offer their clients the option of a DIY marketing of their home
